The Mount Royal University chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society is the first in Calgary and the second in Alberta. Since 2016, the chapter has welcomed more than 650 members and eight honourary inductees, including Mayor Naheed Nenshi. Membership is by invitation only for the top 15 per cent of students based on academic achievement. Golden Key helps members realize their potential through its three pillars: academics, service and leadership.
The New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) is an annual celebration to induct new members invited to the Society and his held on campus in late November. The 2019 event was held on November 26.
Project Overview
I designed an e-vite Google Form that was sent out to all confirmed (registered) new chapter members using Mailchimp to receive RSVPs. I incorporated the chapter's established brand standards, designing visuals using Canva. This campaign resulted in the highest attendance to the NMRE in the chapter's history, with 55 new members and nearly 100 attendees overall.
